DECK MATERIALS

Hardwood Decking

Ipe (EE-PAY) hardwood decking is strong, durable and naturally resistant to wear, rot, splintering, termites, fire, chemicals, marine borers, and virtually every other threat imaginable. Ipe is used on many outdoor benches, boardwalks and decks throughout the Lower Mainland. Perfectly suited to our climate – you can enjoy the beauty and warmth of a real wood deck without the hassles. Ipe does not require a stain or sealer for durability – ever. Left unsealed, it will weather to a handsome silver patina. Alternatively a periodic one-coat application of Penofin Hardwood Oil can be used to maintain the rich natural colour.

DECKING MATERIALS WE LOVE TO WORK WITH!

Dream Decks builds decks in composite products, vinyl, pressure treated wood, natural cedar and hardwoods. Each product has strengths and weaknesses, and our free 1-hour consultation will help you select the product that is the right fit for your requirements. For decks over living space, or to create a dry storage area below your deck, we recommend one of two waterproof decking systems. The first is a vinyl and the second a composite Trex product called Rain Escapes.

WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY ABOUT US

We hired Dream Decks to tear down our small deck and build a bigger one. Our new deck is even better than we envisioned! We have done renovations all over the world due to my husband’s work, and Stu Mullan and his crew did the best job we’ve ever had. Not only was the job done on time and on budget, if Stu wasn’t happy with something he had it torn out and redone. He also had excellent recommendations on other companies to use (such as paving stones) that were just as good as he was. Anybody who uses Stu will be as happy as I am!”
